Job summary

WM is seeking a Landfill Gas Technician I to operate and maintain GCCS at our landfill sites in Ohio. The role focuses on ensuring regulatory compliance, data collection, and system maintenance. On‑site work, on-call duties, and safety requirements are integral to daily operations.

The ideal candidate will have a valid driver's license and willingness to learn through WM training programs, with preferred hands‑on experience in environmental or mechanical settings.

Qualifications

• No experience required
• Valid and unrestricted driver’s license
• Experience in environmental fieldwork or hands-on work environments is preferred

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain GCCS to ensure regulatory compliance and optimize performance.
• Calibrate, operate, and maintain data collection devices for LFG collection.
• Collect and manage data from wellfield extraction and monitoring locations.
• Implement the GCCS preventative maintenance plan.
• Operate pumps and pneumatic/electric systems for liquid management.
• Perform valve/vacuum adjustments, data collection, and interpretation.
