WaterBridge is seeking a hands-on Landfill Engineer to lead field construction for a new oil and gas landfill and related facilities in Orla, TX. You will work closely with the Senior Project Manager to ensure work complies with design, schedule, and quality requirements.

The ideal candidate has 5–8 years of field experience on infrastructure or industrial projects, a civil engineering degree, and proven ability to manage RFIs, submittals, and field changes while maintaining a sharp safety focus.

## Landfill EngineerApply: Orla, TX: Full time: Posted Today: R1323**Summary of Position:**WaterBridge is seeking a skilled, field-driven Landfill Engineer to support and oversee construction of a new oil and gas landfill and tank bottom/slurry facility. This role is responsible for managing day-to-day field-based deliverables, ensuring construction activities are executed in alignment with design intent, project schedule, and quality standards. Working closely with the Senior Project Manager, the Project Construction Engineer serves as the primary on-the-ground technical resource, coordinating directly with contractors, subcontractors, and engineering firms to resolve field issues and drive construction progress. **Primary Duties & Responsibilities:** * Serve as the primary field representative for construction activities across civil, mechanical, and process scopes of the facility* Monitor and document daily construction progress, contractor performance, and site conditions* Review construction drawings, specifications, and submittals for compliance with design intent and project requirements* Coordinate resolution of field conflicts, RFIs (Requests for Information), and design clarifications in collaboration with engineering firms* Conduct regular site walks and quality control inspections to verify work-in-place meets design and specification requirements* Track construction schedule milestones, identify delays or deviations, and escalate issues to the Senior Project Manager with recommended corrective actions* Manage field documentation including daily reports, punch lists, material deliveries, and as-built markups* Coordinate contractor sequencing and site logistics to maintain safe and efficient construction operations* Support commissioning and startup activities, ensuring systems are installed and tested per project requirements* Enforce site safety standards and ensure all contractors adhere to applicable health, safety, and environmental regulations* Tracking heavy equipment metrics (failures, hours, repairs, etc)* Creating spreadsheets for management tracking multiple metrics for the operational facilities **Qualifications & Requirements:** * Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline* Minimum 5–8 years of field construction experience on infrastructure, water treatment, or industrial facility projects* Hands-on experience with civil construction scope including earthwork, grading, site utilities, concrete structures, and piping systems* Familiarity with mechanical systems associated with water treatment facilities, including pumps, valves, tanks, and process equipment installation* Ability to read and interpret civil and mechanical construction drawings, specifications, and submittals* Experience managing RFIs, submittals, and field change orders in coordination with engineering teams* Strong field documentation skills including daily reports, inspection logs, and as-built tracking* Working knowledge of construction safety regulations (OSHA) and ability to enforce a safe jobsite culture* Proficiency in project management and scheduling tools (Primavera P6, MS Project, Procore, or similar) **Preferred Qualifications:** * Professional Engineer (PE) license or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) designation* Experience with landfill and oil and gas reclamation facilities* Familiarity with commissioning and startup procedures for mechanical and process systems* Experience on greenfield or first-of-kind industrial facility projects* OSHA 30-hour certification **Key Competencies:** * Strong field presence and ability to build productive working relationships with contractors and tradespeople* Detail-oriented with a strong sense of accountability for quality and schedule in the field* Effective communicator capable of translating field issues into clear, actionable information for project leadership* Proactive problem-solver comfortable making sound decisions in a fast-paced construction environment* Collaborative team player who operates with integrity and a commitment to safety **Working Conditions/Environment:** * Operates in a professional and/or business casual office environment. **Position Type:** * This is a full-time position **Position Location:** * Orla, TX **Benefits:**At WaterBridge, our employee benefits include, but are not limited to, the following:* Medical, Dental, Vision, & Prescription Drug Coverage* Voluntary Life Insurance for Employee, Spouse, & Child(ren)* Employee Basic Life and AD&D Insurance – Company Paid* Short Term & Long Term Disability – Company Paid* 401(k) or Roth 401(k) Retirement Plan, plus a company match* Flexible Paid Time Off* And many other benefits not listed here**About Us**The WaterBridge group of companies is a fast-paced and growing organization.
