Job summary

Cache County is seeking a Mapper I or II to join the Recorder's Office. The mapper will perform technical drafting and analytical work in creating, maintaining, and updating land ownership records, parcel abstracts, and ownership plats as required by Utah statutes and county policies.

The role is full-time with benefits from day one, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, retirement contributions, bereavement leave, 14 paid holidays, and 18 days of personal leave in the first year.

Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree or equivalent required; training to CAD standards encouraged.
  • Minimum 6 months CAD drafting experience or related in-service training.
  • Minimum 1 year hands-on experience with land title records or land development.

Responsibilities

  • Answer inquiries on ownership mapping; verify current record title ownership.
  • Coordinate with planning departments for subdivision plat reviews and fee collection.
  • Scan plats and enter data into the county recorder system; create parcels and assign parcel numbers.
  • Maintain legal descriptions and update records in line with State Code and policies.
