Job summary

Eckard Energy is seeking a Land Technician in Oklahoma City to provide administrative and technical support to the Land team. The role involves handling land records, AFEs, AMI obligations, title work, and lease analyses while coordinating with internal teams.

Qualifications

The Land Technician position is responsible for providing administrative and technical support to the Land team while managing independent responsibilities that contribute to the efficient administration of the Company's asset portfolio. Responsibilities

• Provide administrative and technical support to Landmen with various day-to-day activities.
• Assist with processing new well proposals and Authorization for Expenditures (AFEs) received from operators.
• Monitor and manage obligations and tasks associated with Area of Mutual Interest (AMI) lands.
• Support the review, analysis, and preparation of various oil and gas agreements.
• Track lease expirations, obligations, and key deadlines.
• Collaborate with internal teams to update Working Interest (WI) and Net Revenue Interest (NRI) ownership information as needed.
• Review title documents and assist in identifying and resolving title requirements.
• Support title curative projects and related research.
• Review plugging and abandonment (P&A) proposals and prepare lease analyses for Landman review.
• Conduct lease analysis and provide recommendations to the Land team.
• Assist with the integration and administration of newly acquired assets.
• Perform special projects and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous experience in land administration, oil and gas operations, title work, legal support, accounting, real estate, or a related analytical/administrative role is preferred.
• Direct land technical support experience is a plus but not required for candidates with strong transferable skills and a willingness to learn.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Familiarity with the Anadarko and/or Permian Basins is preferred.
• Knowledge of oil and gas leases, contracts, title review, WI/NRI calculations, or related land practices is preferred.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work with minimal supervision.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to learn new systems, processes, and industry concepts.
