Job summary

This hands-on role includes supervising field crews, coordinating with clients, and ensuring work meets company standards and deadlines; strong Civil 3D experience is required.

Qualifications

  • Licensed Land Surveyor in MA, CT, or RI preferred.
  • 4+ years of supervisory experience.
  • 3+ years of Civil 3D experience in a land surveying environment.
  • Associate degree in Land Surveying or related field required.
  • Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare boundary, topographic, easement, subdivision, and other survey plans.
  • Perform boundary computations and land record research.
  • Process and import field data from survey crews.
  • Develop topographic maps and TIN surfaces using survey data.
  • Assist with field crew preparation, scheduling, and supervision.
  • Periodically serve as Crew Chief when needed.
  • Coordinate with clients and internal project teams.
  • Ensure surveying work meets established company standards and deadlines.
  • Manage multiple projects while maintaining accuracy and organization.

$80,000–$100,000+ DOE | Full-Time | On-Site

A growing surveying and design firm is looking to add a Licensed Land Surveyor / Senior Project Manager to its expanding land surveying practice. This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for someone who can manage surveying projects from research and field data through final mapping, while also providing guidance to field crews and working closely with internal leadership and clients.

What You’ll Do:
  • Prepare boundary, topographic, easement, subdivision, and other survey plans and mapping
  • Perform boundary computations and land record research
  • Process and import field data from survey crews
  • Develop topographic maps and TIN surfaces using survey data
  • Assist with field crew preparation, scheduling, and supervision

What We’re Looking For:
  • Licensed Land Surveyor — MA, CT, or RI preferred
  • 4+ years of supervisory experience
  • 3+ years of Civil 3D experience in a land surveying environment
  • Strong understanding of field surveying methods and procedures
  • Strong client coordination and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to periodically work in the field as a Crew Chief
  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions and on difficult terrain
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills
  • Ability to consistently meet deadlines
  • Associate’s degree in Land Surveying or a related field required
  • Bachelor’s degree is a plus
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Experience preparing digital surface models for GPS equipment or site design is a plus
  • $80,000–$100,000+ base salary, depending on experience
