HDR is seeking a detail-oriented Land Surveyor to support surveying operations across the Dakotas region. You will collect, process, and analyze field data for boundary, topographic, construction, and engineering surveys while operating survey instruments and software in both field and office environments.
The role involves approximately 80% fieldwork with 20% overnight travel, and supports projects in transportation, water, and other infrastructure sectors throughout North and South Dakota.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Land Surveyor to support land surveying operations. The ideal candidate will assist in collecting, processing, and analyzing field data for boundary, topographic, construction, and engineering surveys. This role requires a strong understanding of surveying principles, proficiency with survey instruments and software, and the ability to work effectively in both field and office environments.
This role requires approximately 80% fieldwork, with the remaining 20% involving overnight travel to project sites. You’ll support projects across transportation, water, power, and other related infrastructure sectors throughout the Dakotas region.
