O.L. Thompson Construction Co., Inc. in the Charleston area is seeking a full-time land surveyor to perform construction layout, as-built, topographic and boundary surveys.

The candidate works independently or with others, shows good math aptitude, and a commitment to safety. You must have a clean driving record, be 21+ with authorization to work in the United States, pass a background check and drug test, and be able to operate amid varying weather.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years or older to operate equipment.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Must pass pre-employment background check and drug test.
• Must bring and wear PPE daily and be able to travel to sites.

Responsibilities

• Perform land surveying tasks including construction layout, as-built surveys, topographic surveys and boundary surveys.
• Work independently or with other personnel and maintain safety at all times.
• Drive to jobsites within the tri-county area with a clean MVR and adhere to company protocols.
