Job summary

Tallgrass invites a Summer Internship in the Land and Right of Way department at our Lakewood, Colorado office. You will support the group’s core functions, gaining exposure to land acquisition, title research, and negotiations under supervision.

You will learn about oil and gas land processes, participate in due diligence, and collaborate with lead ROW agents to understand ownership and access issues in a hands-on setting.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration in Energy Land Management or related field with expected graduation 2026–2028.
• Previous oil and gas land department exposure preferred but not required.
• Strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Assist Land Records dept with document support.
• Assist land agents with ownership research.
• Assist title research at county courthouse.
• Assist field land agents with negotiating surface access and ROW rights-of-way.
• Understand land-related contracts and permits (construction, operation, maintenance).
• Gain experience in survey permission, acquisition, and title research.
