Job summary

American Process Management (APM), an Argano company, seeks a Land Management Agent – Utilities to support the construction and maintenance of natural gas infrastructure, including acquiring right-of-way easements, negotiating compensation, researching titles, and preparing documentation.

This full-time role requires 2–5 years of real estate experience and strong knowledge of real estate practices, with in-office Monday-Thursday and remote Friday to support flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or 2 years college with 5 years real estate experience in pipelines, utilities, transportation, underwriting, title research, government, or similar right of way management experience.
  • Strong knowledge of real estate practices, principles, and law.
  • Excellent communication skills including professional writing ability.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Ability to read and interpret legal description.

Responsibilities

  • Apply working knowledge of real estate practices including abstracts, appraisals, conveyances, encroachments, encumbrances, legal issues, Revocable License Agreements, surveys, title, valuation, and zoning.
  • Perform Real Estate investigations summarizing property ownership, restrictions, and rights.
  • Ensure thorough and accurate documentation is prepared for management of real property – appraisals, easements, licenses, plats of survey.
  • Ensure documentation meets standard legal requirements.
  • Reviews Computer Aided Design and Drafting (CADD) drawings to ensure requirements are met.
  • Ensure thorough and accurate documentation is prepared for management of real property – appraisals, easements, licenses, plats of survey.
  • Ensure documentation meets standard legal requirements.
  • Define property right requirements for developers when planning utility infrastructure for new business developments.
  • Review engineering designs to ensure real estate requirements are understood and adequately incorporated into project plans.
  • Execute standardized legal instruments for managing real estate transactions – easements, licenses, purchase agreements.
  • Land right investigation activities: Tracking and reporting status of land rights to team members and leadership.

Job description

We are seeking a Land Management Agent - Utilities to join the team at American Process Management (APM), an Argano company as a long-term member of our team. APM uses our proprietary process to bring real-time analytics and financial analysis to large-scale industrial capital projects ranging from $100 million to over $3 billion in total cost.

JOB SUMMARY

Supports the construction and maintenance of natural gas infrastructure including but not limited to, the acquisition of right-of-way easements, damage claim settlements, issuance of encroachment agreements. Researches and checks property titles to determine ownership, negotiates easement and compensation, prepares assessments, and arranges payment to grantor. Intermediate – Requires knowledge and experience in own discipline still acquiring higher level knowledge and skills. Solves a range of straightforward problems. Analyzes viable solutions using standard procedures. Receives a moderate level of guidance and direction.
