Job summary

Plains seeks a Supervisor, Land Lease Payables in Houston to lead the land payment team and ensure accurate calculation, approval, and timely payment of land obligations. You will oversee term reviews, setups, and reporting in line with policy and internal controls.

The role requires 5+ years in accounts payable or land-related payables, 2+ years of supervising, and strong knowledge of internal controls and SOX. Proficiency in ERP systems (Oracle Fusion) and advanced Excel is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field.
• 5+ years of accounts payable, lease or royalty payables, or accounting operations experience.
• 2+ years of experience supervising or leading a team.
• Strong working knowledge of internal controls, segregation of duties and SOX compliance.
• Proficiency with an ERP system (Oracle Fusion preferred) and advanced Excel (pivot tables, lookups).

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop the Land Lease Payables team and manage workload to meet deadlines.
• Oversee payment term reviews, set up new obligations, and manage recurring and one-time payments including CPI escalations.
• Ensure accuracy of payee data and documentation; prepare forecasts and variance analyses.
• Collaborate with Land, Legal, Accounting, A/P, Tax and others; drive process improvements and SOX/compliance.
