Field Operations/Land Development Manager | Homebuilding

We’re partnered with a leading homebuilder in the Sacramento area seeking a Field Operations and Land Development Manager to oversee the execution of residential development projects from entitlement through final buildout. This is a key role for someone with deep expertise in managing all phases of land development, field operations, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Manage development projects from permitting through construction, plat recording, and community turnover
2. Oversee site operations including grading, utilities, paving, landscaping, amenities, and inspections
3. Collaborate with construction leadership to deliver finished lots on schedule
4. Maintain relationships with municipalities and ensure compliance with land use and development regulations
5. Monitor and reconcile project budgets; support value-engineering during planning stages
6. Handle SWPPP management, HOA coordination, and bond release processes
7. Ensure timely delivery of marketing features such as entry landscaping and community amenities

Qualifications:

1. 5+ years of land development experience in residential construction
2. Strong knowledge of project scheduling, civil plans, and site work
3. Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field
4. Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management tools
5. Valid driver’s license and auto insurance
