Job summary

Bourn Companies is seeking a Project Manager – Land Development in the Tucson, AZ area to guide horizontal development from due diligence through turnover. You will manage contractors, engineers, and design consultants, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and per company standards.

The role blends civil construction expertise with disciplined project management to deliver build-ready sites supporting vertical construction across multiple product types.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in construction or project management with land development or civil/sitework focus
• Experience coordinating with municipalities, utility providers, and consultants
• Proficiency with scheduling and project management tools (e.g., MS Project)
• Strong understanding of permitting and inspections processes
• Willingness to be onsite regularly and travel as needed

Responsibilities

• Lead execution of land development activities including grading, utilities, stormwater and roadway infrastructure
• Serve as on-site representative, overseeing contractors and subcontractors
• Monitor contractor performance, schedules and milestones
• Coordinate sitework sequencing to support overall timelines for land and vertical construction
• Review plans for constructability and company standards
• Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders and field issues
• Support budgets, forecasts and financial tracking including pay apps
• Lead construction meetings and coordination with engineers, surveyors and utilities
• Coordinate permits, inspections, and approvals with municipalities and agencies
• Ensure safety and regulatory compliance and provide project updates to stakeholders
• Support closeout activities including as-builts and turnover
• Identify design conflicts and potential schedule impacts early and drive resolution
