Job summary

Civil Science in St. George, Utah is seeking an experienced Land Development Team Lead / Project Manager to guide the design and delivery of land development projects while mentoring a team of designers and engineers. You’ll serve as a key client contact and help win new work.

This role balances hands-on design, project management, client relationships, and leadership. A PE license and experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D are highly valued, with opportunities to shape Civil Science's growth in

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required.
• PE license in Utah or ability to obtain for the role.
• 5+ years of land development or civil site engineering experience.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Experience managing land development projects and coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong communication with clients and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, design, and delivery of land development projects from concept through construction.
• Prepare and oversee grading, drainage, utilities, roadway, and site development designs using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, scopes, and resources for successful outcomes.
• Perform quality control reviews and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Maintain responsibility for technical accuracy and overall project performance.
• Serve as the primary client contact and build trusted relationships.
• Support and lead business development, including proposals, scope development, and fee negotiations.
• Identify opportunities for repeat work and expanded services.
• Represent the firm in client meetings, industry events, and community engagements.
• Lead, mentor, and manage designers and engineers; coordinate staffing and workloads.
