Job summary

Atlanta Habitat seeks a Development Superintendent to lead pre-development site preparation and active land development execution in the Atlanta area. You will manage due diligence, permits, tree removals, and site readiness, coordinating contractors, utilities and inspections under the Director of Site Planning & Development.

The role requires field leadership, strong communication, and the ability to track progress from acquisition through construction-ready handoff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; degree preferred.
• Associate or Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering tech, building construction or related field preferred.
• Strong field observation, documentation and problem-solving skills.
• Clear verbal and written communication; ability to collaborate with teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform field due diligence and site investigations for acquisitions; document conditions with photos.
• Coordinate pre-development activity scopes, contractor proposals and approvals.
• Monitor site work including grading, utilities, inspections and drainage.
• Serve as day-to-day field contact for contractors, inspectors and utility providers.
• Maintain site photos, reports and contractor commitments; escalate major issues as needed.
• Closeout tasks: inspections, punch lists and final handoff readiness.
