Job summary

Atlanta Habitat for Humanity is seeking a Development Superintendent to lead pre-development site preparation and day-to-day land development execution. You will conduct field due diligence, coordinate DDH permitting, manage lot clearing, and supervise contractors to keep projects on schedule and within budget.

Reporting to the Director of Site Planning & Development, you will monitor erosion control, inspections, invoicing, and handoffs to construction teams, while maintaining thorough field

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; related degree preferred.
• 3+ years in land development or construction supervision preferred.
• Experience coordinating contractors, inspections, and invoices.
• OSHA 10-hour or equivalent training preferred; may be required after hire.
• Ability to read civil/site plans and project documents.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine site visits to monitor site clearing, grading, drainage, and utilities.
• Coordinate work sequencing and site access with contractors and inspectors.
• Serve as day-to-day field contact for project teams.
• Track progress, deficiencies, and corrective actions.
• Verify invoices and ensure work aligns with contracts.
• Support project handoff from pre-development to construction-ready.
