Job summary

Gray Civil is seeking an Engineer in Training (EIT) to join our team in Austin, TX. The role focuses on preparing land development plans using Civil3D, conducting field investigations, and supporting design under supervision.

The ideal candidate holds an ABET-accredited civil engineering degree and is pursuing or has earned EIT certification, with strong analytical skills and collaboration abilities. We offer competitive compensation, performance bonuses, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from ABET-accredited institution.
EIT certification or ability to obtain within 6 months.
Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, StormCAD, WaterCAD, HEC-HMS and HEC-RAS.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to collaborate and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Prepare engineering plans and documents for land development using Civil3D and design programs.
Conduct site visits and field investigations for data collection.
Perform calculations and simulations to meet regulatory requirements and project specs.
Collaborate with supervisors and staff to improve processes and ensure quality.
Stay informed on industry trends and technologies to contribute innovative solutions.
