Job summary

AVCON, INC. in DeLand, FL is seeking an Engineer, Land Development to contribute to infrastructure planning and design. You will assist with site development planning, stormwater design, pavement evaluations, utility systems, and permitting, while preparing engineering reports and project specifications.

The role requires collaboration with clients and team members, adherence to schedules, and the ability to work on multiple projects. Some evening or weekend work may be required occasionally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 2-5 years' experience.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Working knowledge of StormWise.
• Working knowledge of EPANET, WaterCAD, StormCAD or similar software.
• Proficiency with MS Outlook, MS Excel, and MS Word.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the various design elements to complete a project, component, or system with other team members with clear objectives.
• Prepare complete project documentation including plans, specifications, and engineer estimates.
• Evaluate and adapt standard techniques to project assignments.
• Plan and coordinate detailed aspects of engineering work on multiple projects.
• Prepare project scopes, tasks, budgets, and schedules.
• Assist with proposals including bid documents and project reports.
• Interact with clients, contractors, and project team members.
• Attend project meetings and present aspects of assignments.
