Job summary

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. in Frisco, TX is seeking an Engineering Technician/CAD Designer to join our Land Development team. The role focuses on CAD design tasks and supporting engineers on a range of projects.

You will modify and create drawings with CAD software under supervision, ensuring drawings meet Westwood standards. A degree or equivalent experience and AutoCAD Civil 3D knowledge are required, with 1–5 years in land development.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience and knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Design skills and knowledge.
• 1-5 Years of industry specific Land Development experience.

Responsibilities

• Review project scope and confer with project engineer concerning tasks required such as plan preparation, evaluation of field conditions, design requirements, and reports.
• Create, edit, and modify CAD drawings using CAD software.
• Apply Westwood Company CAD standard, practices, and procedures.
• Collaborate in a team environment.
• Coordinate filing, storage, and retrieval of drawings and documents.
• Plot and check drawings.
• Willing to take on other duties as assigned.
• Performs basic design tasks.
