Job summary

Western Land Services, Inc. is seeking a Land Agent Trainee to build foundational skills in the Land & Energy industry. Through mentorship and hands-on learning, you will support acquisition efforts across multiple projects.

You will meet landowners, negotiate contracts, prepare documents, and report negotiations to Project Managers. The role requires 1-2 years in a sales-related or people-focused role and a related bachelor’s degree preferred. Significant travel may be required.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of sales-related or people-focused experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
• Willingness to travel to landowner locations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Secure property rights for land sought for development.
• Negotiate contracts and approach landowners within parameters.
• Meet with landowners at properties or agreed locations.
• Establish trust to facilitate negotiations and relationships.
• Obtain licensing and permits if required.
• Explain project details, timelines, and financial arrangements.
• Provide reports on negotiations to Project Managers and clients.
• Prepare contracts and related documents.
• Other related duties as assigned.
