Job Summary :
The Land Acquisition Manager for M / I Homes (NYSE “MHO”) coordinates and assists in the acquisition and development of real estate into residential communities. Monitors and supports the acquisition process through contract, due diligence, entitlement and closing phases. Main responsibilities will be supervising project feasibility and managing all land entitlements to deliver a pipeline of communities for the Chicago Division.

Minimum Education Experience :
Bachelor’s degree in business, real estate, or civil engineering. 3-5 years’ experience in real estate acquisitions (with a production builder preferred).
Skills and Abilities :
Demonstrated success in homebuilding industry preferred. Persuasive attitude with outstanding negotiation and organizational skills; detail-oriented aptitude. Ability to research, interpret, analyze, and evaluate given information relative to the acquisition of appropriate land sites. Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interaction with a variety of people inside and outside of organization. Decisiveness and good judgment, problem-solving and analytical skills to act with authority and manage risk with little direction from others. Ability to work at a fast pace and manage workload efficiently. Working knowledge of given market and geographical locations.
