Job summary

DSV – Global Transport and Logistics in Lancaster, USA seeks a Procurement Specialist Material Planner to coordinate demand planning, materials availability and delivery timelines for the customer site.

You will work with the demand planners, site manager and warehouse teams to manage lead times, expedite SAP orders, support onboarding of new material planners and drive continuous improvement across the operations.

Qualifications

• Second-tier level position requiring Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Generally 5+ years of related experience preferred.
• Exceptional interpersonal and analytical skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure commitments from demand planning groups meet product lead times.
• Expedite SAP delivery orders with internal and external partners.
• Manage lead times for delivery orders placed for the customer site.
• Review build/ship plans to meet delivery dates.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and lead projects.
• Coordinate with warehouse personnel for inbound/outbound material planning.
• Assist with onboarding of new material planners and improve training documentation.
