Job summary

HeyTutor is partnering with a local school district in Lancaster to provide in-person tutoring for 3rd-5th grade math. The role requires completing an Associate’s degree or being enrolled, and includes a background check.

The position offers consistent hours and competitive pay based on education and experience. The role involves tutoring large groups, delivering curriculum, and tracking progress using the HeyTutor Dashboard.

Qualifications

• Completed AA degree or higher, OR currently enrolled in college.
• Experience working with children or tutoring preferred.
• Comfortable tutoring Elementary School Math.
• Ability to pass FBI-DOJ in-person background check (provided by HeyTutor).
• Spanish bilingual is preferred not required.

Responsibilities

• Tutor large groups of students up to 15 without direct teacher supervision.
• Deliver lessons using provided curriculum and materials.
• Create an engaging, welcoming learning environment.
• Support positive student behavior and participation.
• Track attendance and student progress using the HeyTutor Dashboard.
• Assist with student assessments when requested.
• Escort students to and from designated areas on campus.
• Clock in/out daily using Deputy.
• Complete additional duties as assigned.
