Job summary

SierTeK seeks a Legacy Telephone Technician to support Joint Base Andrews in Maryland. You will perform Tier 2/3 maintenance, survey, install, troubleshoot, and audit copper telephony connections, and maintain ISDN/POTS diagrams.

You will work with the Government Voice Engineer to keep copper infrastructure healthy. Responsibilities include creating maintenance cutsheets, logging issues, and coordinating with providers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with Nortel MSL 100 (tier 2/3).
• Experience with ISDN, POTS and VoIP telephony.
• Active Security+ CE certification required.

Responsibilities

• Tier 2/3 maintenance and operational support for telephony systems.
• Survey, install, maintain, troubleshoot, and audit copper connections for telephony.
• Maintain ISDN/POTS diagrams and copper cabling documentation.
• Create and update maintenance cutsheets with phone numbers and locations.
• Submit Weekly Activity Reports and monthly reports to GSO/USA F.
• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot telephony devices and ensure ticket SLAs.
• Identify legacy devices and assist in migration to IP-based solutions.
