Job summary

Stockwell Elastomerics, Inc. is seeking a Technical Manufacturing Associate – Lamination Operator to prepare, bond, and process elastomer materials into multilayer constructions used in gaskets, pads, and EMI shielding components.

You will operate roll and flatbed laminators, manage PSA films, inspect adhesion and dimensional stability, and ensure traceability and safety in a high-precision production environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or technical certification required.
• Experience in lamination, converting, or fabrication processes preferred.
• Experience with adhesive-backed materials or elastomer manufacturing preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret work instructions and job travelers.
• Familiarity with adhesive systems (PSA, transfer adhesives, films).
• Precision material handling.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate lamination equipment including roll laminators, flatbed laminators, and adhesive application systems.
• Adjust process parameters such as pressure, nip settings, feed rate, alignment, and temperature.
• Stage and prepare materials like silicone sheets, PSA, films, and release liners.
• Monitor lamination runs for uniform adhesion and absence of defects; inspect materials for bond strength and finish.
• Identify and correct issues such as misalignment or contamination; communicate issues to engineering.
• Maintain material traceability with lot control and labeling; store materials properly.
