Job summary

LeaderTech, Inc. is seeking an Elastomer Technician to support the Elastomer room operations, setting up and tending machines. Training will occur during the day before transitioning to the night shift at our Tampa, Florida facility.

The role involves operating extrusion, bonding processes, measuring components, and ensuring compliance with safety standards while maintaining a clean, organized work area.

Qualifications

• Reading blueprints and using calipers and micrometers.
• Experience with measuring equipment.
• Follow all safety regulations in the workplace.

Responsibilities

• Operates extruders, mills, mold presses, and click presses.
• PSA application, hot and cold bonding.
• Adjust machine speeds, pressures, temperatures, and material flow.
• Monitor machines and detect malfunctions via lights and gauges.
• Assist with bonding, cutting, and other tasks.
• Read blueprints and use calipers and micrometers.
• Maintain clean, safe work area and follow safety regulations.
• Report defective materials to supervisor.

Position Summary

The Elastomer Technician is responsible for providing day-to-day support for process-related activities for the Elastomer room, including setting up, operating, or tending machines. Candidates will train during the day before being transferred to the night shift.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Operates extruders, mills, mold presses, and click presses.
• PSA application, hot and cold bonding.
• Adjust machine components to regulate speeds, pressures, and temperatures, and amounts, dimensions, and flow of materials or ingredients.
• Monitor machine operators and observe lights and gauges to detect malfunctions.
• Assist with bonding, cutting, and other assigned tasks.
• Must be able to perform, but not limited to, the following tasks: read blue prints, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring equipment.
• Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
• Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows all safety regulations.
