Job summary

Nidec in Mankato, MN, is hiring for an entry-level manufacturing role focused on rotor and stator laminations assembly. You will stack laminations, measure with a ruler, and perform GMAW tack welds under supervision. The position runs 1st shift, Monday-Thursday, 6:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m., on-site.

Starting hourly wages range from $24.24 to $27.73, with bi-weekly pay, and a comprehensive benefits package. A vocational or high school diploma is required and U.S.

Job Description

Stacks and aligns rotor and stator laminations for assembly of cores. Measures stack, using ruler and adds or removes laminations to bring core body to specified size. GMAW tack welds must meet certification requirements (see section 11 (e)). Daily/weekly TPM tasks must be performed with accuracy and consistency. Uses various hand and power tools as well as requiring spot welding. Under general supervision. Instruction provided on new work, variations, etc. Six thousand (6,000) hours to become familiar with work, materials, equipment, work methods, procedures, and to attain proficiency requirements as to welding quality and quantity of work. Performs other duties as designated by supervisor in the same salary grade or below.

Requires a vocational or high school graduate or equivalent.
