Job summary

Boater's World Manufacturing Group in Chocowinity, NC, seeks a Lamination Equipment Mechanic to join our Maintenance team. You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain fiberglass lamination gear including chop guns and gelcoat systems to keep production moving.

The ideal candidate has hands-on industrial maintenance experience, strong mechanical skills, and the ability to diagnose failures, perform preventive maintenance, and support a safe, reliable manufacturing operation on-site in North

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience maintaining, troubleshooting, or repairing industrial equipment or mechanical systems.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to diagnose equipment problems.
• Experience troubleshooting mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, or fluid delivery systems.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals, diagrams, technical documentation, and manufacturer instructions.
• Experience performing preventive maintenance and mechanical repairs.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify causes of equipment failures.
• Ability to work independently and respond efficiently to production equipment issues.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to equipment reliability and workplace safety.
• Ability to communicate effectively with maintenance personnel, production employees, and supervisors.
• Willingness to learn specialized fiberglass and lamination equipment.
• Ability to work full-time on-site in Chocowinity, North Carolina.
• Willingness to work overtime or adjust working hours when necessary to support production needs.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair fiberglass lamination equipment and related systems.
• Diagnose mechanical and operational issues involving resin flow, catalyst delivery, spray patterns, material ratios, pressure, and equipment performance.
• Maintain and repair equipment such as MVP and Glas-Craft systems.
• Repair and replace pumps, seals, valves, hoses, fittings, regulators, spray tips, and other components.
• Troubleshoot pneumatic systems, air motors, pressure regulators, and fluid delivery equipment.
• Inspect and maintain catalyst pumps and delivery systems for accurate operation.
• Perform equipment rebuilds and replace worn/damaged components.
• Identify root causes of recurring problems and recommend corrective actions.
• Verify equipment operates safely before returning to production.
