Job summary

Bluestar Resort & Golf in the Shenandoah Valley of Northern Virginia seeks a Maintenance Technician to perform routine maintenance, rough carpentry, painting, and basic repairs across Lodge and Athletic Club facilities.

The role includes electrical, plumbing, HVAC maintenance, and safety-focused operations. Strong teamwork, reliability, and the ability to manage multiple tasks are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1–3 years maintenance experience preferred.
• Current First Aid or safety certifications as required by the Club.
• Ability to read building drawings and blueprints.
• Ability to communicate positively and effectively with team members and supervisors about tasks.
• Desire to contribute to a productive work environment with a positive attitude.
• Self-motivated, able to work independently with little supervision.
• Able to think, troubleshoot, and make sound judgments.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality building maintenance to meet member and guest needs.
• Maintain tools and equipment; keep the maintenance room organized.
• Perform preventive maintenance; report issues to supervisor.
• Transport tools to work areas and set up daily assignments.
• Work safely with PPE and report unsafe conditions.
• Perform carpentry tasks like shelves, hooks, and locksets.
• Change light bulbs/fixtures and perform basic electrical tasks.
• Handle plumbing duties like unclogging drains and fixing leaks.
• Touch up paint and repaint rooms.
• Assist with loading/unloading trucks and moving furniture.
• Maintain inventories and supplies.
• Direct maintenance trainees as assigned.
