Job summary

The Edgewater Hotel in Madison, WI is seeking a part-time Boathouse Server to deliver high-quality service at the lakeside Boathouse. You will handle order taking, serve guests, and assist with setup and turnover with a team of bartenders, hosts, culinary staff and management.

Applicants should be 18+, able to work flexible shifts including nights and weekends, and have strong customer service and communication skills. Prior restaurant experience is preferred, and training is provided.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 or older.
• Must be available for a minimum of three (3) shifts per week and able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
• Ability to communicate effectively with guests, co-workers, and management.
• Strong customer service skills and the ability to resolve customer issues or complaints.
• Must be able to perform multiple tasks and prioritize efficiently.
• Must have excellent working knowledge of liquors, beers, and wine.
• Have ability to obtain any government required license or certificate.
• Ability to lift, push, pull up to 50lbs.

Responsibilities

• Boathouse Servers are responsible for providing timely serving of food and beverages to all guests.
• Assist in proper setup of the server station and work areas as assigned.
• Assist in preparation and setup for the next meal period/next day as needed.
• Work with a teamwork mentality, offering support to all other colleagues in the restaurant.
