Palace Entertainment is a leading leisure park operator in the United States and Australia overseeing more than 25 entertainment venues, hotels and educational venues across 11 different states.

The Food & Beverage Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for managing the operations of all warehouse locations throughout the park. This position will be responsible for all aspects of warehouse operations and its team members, including training, accountability, food safety and sanitation, internal guest service, receiving activities, delivery fulfillment and quality controls. This role also assists in reporting and training activities.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Conducts opening and closing procedures of assigned areas.
  • Ability to perform all Warehouse team functions and provide back-up as needed.
  • Practices, teaches and enforces proper food safety guidelines adhering to company policy and local Health Department requirements.
  • Maintains all alcohol safety practices when applicable.
  • Trains Team Members and Leads on all policies and procedures of assigned areas.
  • Develops team schedules that ensure that warehouse operations are fully staffed, while also taking into consideration labor costs.
  • Assists with timekeeping for hourly team members.
  • Manages Team Member and Lead activities ensuring all break and labor guidelines are followed.
  • Oversees quality controls of food items.
  • Leads team in Guest Service interactions and friendliness standards.
  • Maintains cleanliness of all interiors and exterior warehouse areas.
  • Manages inventory, focusing on accurate and timely receiving, order fulfillment, physical and cycle counts and waste controls.
  • Interfaces with other stakeholders on product and supply needs.
  • Interfaces with maintenance on all equipment or physical plant needs.
  • Inspect all products that are delivered to ensure they are undamaged.
  • Ensure that all invoices from deliveries are properly received and communicated to the proper colleagues for payment.
  • Ensure that their team is following safety guidelines set by the organization as well as OSHA, Department of Health, State, and Local guidelines.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.
  • 2+ years of previous warehouse experience and/or supervisor experience preferred.
  • Must become certified to operate forklifts and/or other mechanical equipment within 30 days of hire.
  • Must become Food Handler Safety Certified (ServSafe or similar) or become so within 90 days of hire, when required by state and local guidelines.

Language: Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English; Spanish or other bilingual language skills are a plus.

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age to comply with Connecticut Child Labor Laws.
  • Ability to work flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to work until later hours of the evening, from open to close.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
  • Ability to safely and efficiently operate motorized vehicles and equipment.
  • Ability to comply with all uniform policies.
  • Ability to work independently as well as with a team.
  • Willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced setting.
  • Excellent customer service skills, with an ability to resolve questions, problems, issues, and concerns in a positive and professional manner.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand or walk for long periods of time.
  • Ability to frequently kneel, stoop, or twist.
  • Frequent bending, squatting and reaching above shoulders.
  • Ability to walk long distances throughout the park.
  • Ability to work in enclosed and refrigerated areas.
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions and elements including the direct sun with no shade, cold, rain, snow, ice, dust, and all other outdoor weather elements.
  • Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor setting for long periods of time.
  • Ability to withstand heat and humidity in the various food stands and restaurants.
  • Ability to carry, push, pull, lift, and hold objects weighing 50 pounds or more.
  • Ability to consistently use hands to grasp, control, move objects/tools.
  • Ability to see details of objects that are more than a few feet away.
  • Ability to tolerate exposure to dust and cleaning chemicals.

Working Conditions:

  • Frequent interaction with outdoor and indoor areas of the park.
  • Exposure to the variable outside and inside temperatures, including high heat, cold, humidity, dust, rain, and other weather conditions.
  • Exposure to refrigerated temperatures on a regular basis.
  • Fast-paced environment with constantly shifting priorities and challenges.
  • Potential to be asked to work in other areas of the park, as needed.
  • Subject to constant repetitive motion.
  • Frequent interaction with motorized equipment, vehicles, and machinery.
  • Subject to frequent interruptions and may need to reprioritize activities.
  • Subject to frequent loud noises and vibrations.
  • Subject to the handling of and exposure to chemicals, detergents, and cleaners.

External: Guests; Delivery Services; Suppliers.
