Job description

Job Description: Lifeguard

Join our team as a Lifeguard and ensure the safety of our guests in an aquatic environment. Responsibilities include:

1. Performing duties related to the Star Guard Elite Aquatic Risk Prevention Program.
2. Maintaining test-ready skills for the program.
3. Participating in the Starguard Elite external/internal audit program.
4. Ensuring guest safety and orderliness.
5. Monitoring guests visually from assigned positions.
6. Providing swimmer protection, enforcing rules, administering first aid and CPR, and handling medical emergencies.
7. Adhering to all operating procedures, including safety checklists, cleaning, maintenance reporting, and operational stoppages if needed.
8. Attending at least 4 hours of in-service training monthly to retain licensing.
9. Maintaining a 30-second response time in guest areas while on duty.
10. Responding promptly to emergencies or situations involving guests or team members.
11. Maintaining a safe environment for all guests and staff.
12. Assisting with cleanliness and order of the lagoon and surrounding areas, inspecting rescue equipment, and reporting irregularities.
13. Following the rotation schedule and other duties assigned by management.
14. Greeting guests, visitors, and employees courteously, providing excellent customer service.

Qualifications and Training:

• Must pass a StarGuard Elite Lifeguard course.
• Ability to learn CPR, Basic First Aid, and water rescues.
• Ability to retrieve a 10-lb brick from 6-12 ft depth.
• Complete online components and in-class written exams successfully.

Physical Requirements:

• Regularly handle equipment, reach, read, talk, and hear.
• Frequently stand, walk, stoop, kneel, push, pull, crouch, or crawl.
• Frequently work at heights above 15 feet.
• Occasionally sit or balance.
• Lift/move up to 10 pounds regularly; up to 50 pounds frequently.
• Require specific vision abilities and the ability to wear polarized sunglasses.
• Work in various weather conditions, including exposure to chlorine and pool chemicals.
• Noise levels are moderate to high.

Pay: $19 USD per hour
