Altra Homecare of Kokomo is seeking a compassionate Personal Care Assistant to provide in-home care to clients in Kokomo and nearby areas. You will assist with activities of daily living, monitor safety, remind about medications, and document care provided according to care plans.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Possess a valid Driver's License and Auto Insurance
• Preferred: Minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience
• Ability to read, follow written instructions, and document care provided
• Current CPR certification
• Comply with training requirements as per State and Federal laws

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient laundry when necessary
• Provide medication reminders
• Ensure patient safety
• Report significant changes in the patient's condition directly to their supervisor
• Prepare light meals and assist with patient feeding when required
• Monitor and record patient temperature
• Assist patients with ambulation
• Conduct range of motion exercises and other simple physical activities
• Maintain comprehensive documentation and adhere to care protocols
• Follow privacy policies and infection control guidelines
• Offer bathing assistance
• Perform light housekeeping
• Provide companion services, including letter-writing and reading
