Job summary

Electric Hospitality, Atlanta-based restaurant group, is seeking a Barback to assist with bar operations and support bartenders during service. You will restock supplies, prepare garnishes, and maintain cleanliness while helping ensure a smooth shift.

The role requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, with emphasis on teamwork and customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in a bar setting or customer service role is preferred.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with bartenders and other staff members.
• Knowledge of basic bar operations and drink preparation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Restock bar supplies including glassware, alcohol, mixers, and garnishes during service.
• Change kegs behind the bar as needed.
• Clean and sanitize bar areas, equipment, and glassware to uphold hygiene standards.
• Assist bartenders by preparing ingredients, cutting garnishes, and refilling ice.
• Handle trash removal and dumping, recycling, and maintain cleanliness in the back bar area.
• Provide basic customer service by serving water and supporting bartenders during peak times.
• Assist with closing duties including restocking, cleaning, and preparing for the next shift.

Position Summary:

The barback assists with cleaning the bar, preparing garnishes, ensuring the bar is stocked with napkins, straws, glassware, garnishes, and other necessities, and taking on other duties to support the bartender and keep the bar running smoothly.

Essential Physical Functions:

• Ability to stand/walk for 8-10 hours per day.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 lbs.
• Will frequently stand, walk, reach, feel, bend, stoop, carry, finely manipulate and key in data.
• Must be able to work in both warm and cool environments, indoors and outdoors.
• Must be able to tolerate higher levels of noise from music and customer traffic.
• Must be able to tolerate potential allergens: peanut products, egg, dairy, gluten, and soy.
• Report to work in a complete required uniform.
• Maintain a well-manicured appearance and persona that reflects the image of the restaurant.
