Qualifications

• RN, RD, OT or equivalent. Certified Lactation Consultant (CLC) or equivalent.
• IBCLC within 12 months of hire/transfer.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced lactation support and education to inpatient and outpatient populations of infants, pregnant and postpartum mothers.
• Lead classes for new and expectant mothers and their families.
• Interact with multidisciplinary team around infant/mother concerns.
• Support Baby Friendly initiatives and related state programs.
• Ensure timely and accurate documentation to communicate with other care givers.
• Work flexibly in settings including telehealth, community groups, and classrooms.
• Follow up with breastfeeding mothers by phone.
