Job summary

Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center is seeking a Lactation Support Registered Nurse for the Antepartum/Postpartum unit. This per diem, rotating position delivers bedside nursing care with lactation education to postpartum patients and their newborns.

You will assess feeding needs, provide education, and collaborate with the care team to promote positive feeding experiences and safe, family-centered care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program is required.
• Baccalaureate degree in Nursing strongly preferred.
• RN license and American Heart Association BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to antepartum/postpartum patients and newborns.
• Offer lactation support, education, and hands-on guidance.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to develop care plans.
• Document care and ensure patient safety and advocacy.
