Job summary

Spring Valley Hospital in Las Vegas, NV, part of The Valley Health System, seeks a Lactation Consultant to provide safe nursing care and lead the perinatal team within a 366-bed acute care setting that includes a level III NICU and 24/7 emergency services.

The role emphasizes professional leadership, adherence to facility policies, and Service Excellence while supporting new mothers and infants. Nevada RN licensure and relevant certifications are required or preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing. BSN preferred.
• One year full time or three years part time experience in acute care setting preferred.
• Current RN license in the State of Nevada. Current BLS Certification. Current PALS Certification (pediatric patients) or current NRP Certification (Neonatal patients) as required by department.

Responsibilities

• Provides safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy.
• Oversees and guides employees that are under his/her supervision.
• Demonstrates Service Excellence standards at all times.
