Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA) is seeking a compassionate Lactation Consultant (PRN) to support new mothers and families in the obstetrics department. You will address lactation concerns, provide guidance, and collaborate with the care team to promote successful breastfeeding.

Required is education for certification, at least one year of related experience, BLS certification, and IBCLC preferred (to be obtained before two-year anniversary).

Responsabilités

• Identify and correct lactation problems.
• Lead breastfeeding classes for expecting mothers.
• Advise physicians and healthcare providers on lactation issues.
• Plan and accomplish goals using experience and judgment.
• Perform a variety of tasks under supervision.
• Provide staff education to meet baby-friendly designation requirements.
• Promote breastfeeding using evidence-based knowledge.
• Serve neonates, infants, adolescents and adults regularly.
