Job summary

Penn Medicine Doylestown Health is seeking a Lactation Consultant nurse (LC) to enhance lactation care within the inpatient setting. You will educate families, perform breast feeding consultations, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team providing patient-centered care.

The role requires nursing licensure in Pennsylvania, ICN experience, and IBCLC certification within 18 months of hire. Per Diem hours support flexible scheduling, within a trusted health system.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in nursing and 2+ years Intensive Care Nursery (ICN) experience
• Registered Nurse license in Pennsylvania
• IBLCE certification within 18 months of hire date

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to develop care plans for breastfeeding families
• Perform timely consultations and anticipate discharge plans
• Provide education and counseling to pregnant and lactating women
• Mentor Lactation Interns and orient new staff
• Promote safety, documentation, and adherence to hospital breast feeding policies
