Job summary

Vidac Solutions in Fenton, MO is seeking an experienced Engineering HMI Programmer passionate about automation and test systems. The ideal candidate is a LabVIEW expert who can translate technical needs into reliable, client-ready solutions.

You will design, develop, and maintain LabVIEW applications, collaborate with engineers and customers, and support projects from concept to validation while traveling occasionally for client support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Computer Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of LabVIEW experience; Certified LabVIEW Developer preferred.
• Excellent communication and customer-facing experience.
• Strong understanding of instrumentation, data acquisition, and control hardware.
• Hands-on experience programming PLCs (Allen-Bradley/Rockwell, Siemens, Mitsubishi, or similar).
• Ability to troubleshoot across electrical, mechanical, and controls systems.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for customer support.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain LabVIEW applications for automation, data acquisition, and control systems.
• Proficient with other code languages such as C/C++, C#, VBA, Python, and IEC 61131-3 Languages for PLCs and/or ladder logic.
• Participate in full project lifecycles—from concept and design to implementation and validation.
• Work directly with customers to define requirements, troubleshoot systems, and ensure successful delivery.
• Support business development through technical discussions, proposals, and identifying new opportunities.
• Collaborate closely with mechanical, electrical, and controls engineers on integrated system solutions.
