Job summary

Vidac Solutions in Fenton, MO is seeking a Test Systems Engineer to take technical ownership of LabVIEW-based test systems and data acquisition along with HMI development.

You will inherit existing NI LabVIEW applications, troubleshoot, integrate Yokogawa GM10 equipment, and guide software architecture decisions for current and future Vidac systems while collaborating with customers and engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a technical field.
• Experience developing industrial test, measurement, automation, HMI, or data acquisition systems.
• Strong knowledge of NI LabVIEW and ability to understand code written by others.
• Experience integrating software with instrumentation and hardware.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of existing NI LabVIEW applications used in Vidac test systems.
• Develop, modify, troubleshoot, and maintain LabVIEW applications for HMI, data acquisition, monitoring, control, and reporting.
• Configure and integrate Yokogawa GM10 and similar industrial data acquisition systems.
• Develop operator interfaces for displaying measurements, trends, alarms, test status, and system controls.
• Acquire, process, store, display, and export test data from instrumentation and industrial equipment.
• Interface software with sensors, instrumentation, PLCs, controllers, and other equipment using industrial protocols.
• Participate in the full project lifecycle from requirements through FAT, commissioning, and support.
• Troubleshoot problems across software, communications, instrumentation, networking, and hardware.
• Document software architecture, communications, configuration, and deployment procedures.
• Implement and maintain source-control and software revision practices.
• Support existing customer systems and diagnose issues with deployed equipment.
• Evaluate LabVIEW and alternative platforms for future applications.
• Help establish scalable software and data acquisition standards.
