Job Description

Within our Analytical Services team, we offer a unique functional service provider solution, allowing our staff to gain direct onsite experience at pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical companies while maintaining full benefits.

Purpose: As an Associate Scientist, you will perform complex sample preparation and analysis procedures to quantify biopharmaceutical compounds in biological matrices, primarily using HPLC and CE instrumentation. Responsibilities include reviewing results, data compilation, and entering data into databases.

Essential Functions
  • Sample preparation with excellent pipetting skills
  • Operate liquid handling systems (Protein Maker, Hamilton) for high-throughput sample prep and purification
  • Perform protein analytical assays such as Affinity Chromatography, SEC, CEX, CE-SDS, and icIEF
  • Document data clearly in electronic lab notebooks
  • Coordinate sample submission and data management
  • Manage laboratory operations including shipping, ordering, and instrument maintenance
Qualifications

Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree or equivalent, with 2-4 years of relevant experience or appropriate combination of education and experience.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Knowledge of techniques like Hamilton Robotics and biopharmaceutical testing
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Data interpretation and trend analysis skills
  • Technical writing, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities
  • Experience with LIMS or Empower is a plus
Working Environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups
  • Stand for extended periods and lift objects up to 25 pounds
  • Work in healthcare or laboratory environments with potential hazards
  • Perform under pressure while managing multiple projects
