Job summary

Amazon Leo for Government (ALG) Engineering Integrated Systems Solutions seeks a Systems Development Engineer II to own health, resiliency, and automation of lab infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines used by I&T engineers and subsystem teams.

You will architect infrastructure-as-code, monitoring, and automation to keep hardware-in-the-loop and system lab environments healthy, scalable, and cost-effective, working with cross-disciplinary teams across satellite and ground campaigns.

Qualifications

• Experience automating, deploying, and supporting large-scale infrastructure.
• Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, Rust.
• Experience with Linux/Unix.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines build processes.
• Preferred: distributed systems at scale.

Responsibilities

• Own the design, deployment, operational health, and long-term resiliency of lab infrastructure, test environments, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Architect and implement infrastructure-as-code solutions, monitoring/observability platforms, and automation that are reliable and scalable.
• Identify and mitigate risks to system resiliency through design reviews, ORRs, and post-incident analyses; drive permanent fixes.
• Define and drive operational best practices across the lab engineering organization for automation and observability.
• Diagnose problems across hardware, software, networking, and operating environments and drive root-cause resolution.
• Develop and maintain clear documentation including runbooks, diagrams, and procedures.
