Job summary

InterCon Construction, Inc. is seeking a skilled worker for gas piping and utility installation. You will prepare sites, coordinate with operators, load materials, and assemble gas piping while adhering to strict safety standards on trenches and pipe sealing.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver's license, and be willing to travel to various sites. Class A CDL is preferred; capable of lifting 50 pounds and standing for long periods is required.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Driver's License required; CDL Class A preferred.
• Willingness to travel and work at construction sites.
• Ability to bend, kneel, stand, and walk for long periods.
• Ability to lift/push/pull 50 pounds regularly.
• Experience installing gas mains and fiber optic cables preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare work site to locate utilities and identify hazards.
• Signal operators to help move or align equipment.
• Load, unload and transport construction materials and tools.
• Configure pipe routes and assemble gas piping and equipment.
• Follow safety standards during trenching, pipe installation, grading and sealing joints.
• Ensure pipes are fitted and aligned using grade rods or transit levels.
• Cover pipes or cable with dirt or other material.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
