Job description

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

1. Essential Job Duties:
2. Prepare work site to locate utilities and eliminate possible hazards.
3. Signal operators to help facilitate movement or alignment of equipment.
4. Load, unload, and transport construction materials and tools.
5. Configure pipe routes.
6. Assemble gas piping and equipment.
7. Follow safety standards throughout the process, including while digging trenches, sliding pipe into trenches, grading trenches, and sealing joints.
8. Ensure pipes are fitted and aligned using grade rods or transit levels.
9. Cover pipes or cables with dirt or other material.
10. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

1. High School Diploma/Equivalent.
2. Valid Driver's License.
3. Class A CDL preferred.
4. Must be willing to travel.
5. Must be able to bend, kneel, stand, and walk for long periods.
6. Must be able to lift, push, and pull 50 pounds regularly.
7. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
8. Experience installing gas mains and fiber optic cables preferred.
9. Education in Gas and Utilities Construction preferred.
