Job summary

Pauley Construction, LLC is hiring a Laborer Telecom Aerial III to join our Aerial Crew. You will assist technicians, supply parts, and help move equipment to support aerial cable installations and repairs. This role requires safe work practices and adherence to project specifications.

The position emphasizes hands-on duties, site readiness, and timely completion of tasks with occasional travel within state. A CDL Class A license and physical ability are required.

Qualifications

  • 3 years of work-related experience in utility construction, telecommunications or laborer work.
  • Proven leadership experience to direct workflow and produce high quality results.
  • Any combination of education and/or experience showing ability to perform the duties.

Responsibilities

  • Ground hand for technicians; provide parts as needed; move bucket truck as directed by technician.
  • Ensure door-tagging and resident notification of construction activities before starting each day.
  • Perform daily inspection and maintenance of fleet vehicles and equipment; drive company vehicles if licensed.
  • Provide intermediate-level support with greater responsibility, troubleshooting and operational tasks under supervision.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

As a Laborer, Aerial Crew you will perform duties related to install and repair aerial telecommunications cable and ensure scope of work performed is within standards required by customers.

What You’ll Do
  • You will be the ground hand for technicians, provide parts as needed, move bucket truck as directed by technician.
  • You will ensure that door-tagging and resident notification of our construction activities has been completed prior to starting each workday.
  • You will ensure daily inspection and maintenance of fleet vehicles and equipment is performed and documented. If appropriately licensed, drive company vehicles as needed to jobsite.
  • Intermediate-level support with greater responsibility, troubleshooting, and operational tasks, all while working under general supervision and following standard policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
What You’ll Need
  • To be 18 years of age or older
  • Authorization to work in the United States for this company
  • High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
  • Must have a CDL (Class A Commercial Driver's License)
  • Must be able to pass a background check and company drug screening.
  • Must be able to attend and pass all company required training as needed.
  • May be required to work over‑time; after hours; on weekends or be on‑call as work is needed to ensure work is completed.
  • May include working nights and holidays as needed.
  • May be required to travel in state or overnight as necessary to meet business and job requirements.
  • Regular and timely attendance is an essential function of this position.
Additional Qualifications
  • Certified pole climber or capable of demonstrating proficiency as a pole climber.
  • Knowledge of Installation of aerial and underground cables and/or support members in conformance with all applicable codes, regulations, and customer specifications (NEC Electrical Code, System and/or City Specifications).
  • Proficient in troubleshooting, operational skills, and handling more complex tasks under supervision
Education/Experience Requirements
  • 3 years of work‑related experience pertaining to utility construction, telecommunications or laborer related work
  • Proven leadership experience to direct workflow and produce high quality results
  • Any combination of education and/or experience that demonstrates ability to perform the designated job duties and responsibilities of the position.
Reasoning Ability
  • Ability to make common sense understanding to carry out instructions that are provided in written, oral or drawing. Ability to deal with and understand problems involving different variables in many varied situations involving employees, customers and vendors.
Mathematical Skills
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts (measurements in terms of distance, proportions, percentages and area. Ability to apply concepts of basic mathematics.
Language Skills
  • Ability to read, understand and interpret documents such as safety rules and requirements, machine manuals of operation and process procedures. Ability to write information including reports. Ability to speak effectively to customers, coworkers, vendors and the public.

Pay Range

The Laborer Telecom Aerial III hourly wage range is $21.15 - $25.96 depending on experience.
