Job summary

Star Construction LLC is hiring a Laborer Telecom Aerial in Winchester, KY to support an aerial telecom crew with fiber/telecom cable installation and maintenance. You will provide tools and materials, move equipment, and help keep sites safe and organized.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, a high school diploma or GED, and willingness to certify as a pole climber. The position may involve overtime, travel, and after-hours work in various weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Authorized to work in the United States for this company.
• High School Diploma or GED or relevant work experience.
• Valid state driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Certified pole climber or willing to become certified.
• Previous labor experience in telecommunications is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide tools, parts, and materials to crew members as needed.
• Reposition or move bucket trucks, trailers, or equipment as directed.
• Ensure door-tagging and resident notifications for construction activities are completed daily.
• Stock, clean, and maintain all company vehicles and equipment.
• Perform hand digging using shovels and mechanical tools.
• Direct/flag traffic flow per local DOT guidelines.
• Work overtime, travel, and perform on-call/afterhours responsibilities.
• Perform work in all weather conditions.
• Other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Do

• Provide tools, parts, and materials to crew members as needed

What You’ll Need

• To be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
• Valid state driver's license (cannot be Provisional), including an acceptable driving record
• Certified pole climber or be willing to become certified
• Previous labor experience in telecommunications is a plus

Physical Abilities & Exposures

• Routinely: work with arms above shoulder level at heights, in confined spaces and in remote locations, climb stairs, bend, stoop, stand, walk and lift up to 55 pounds, operate vehicle & heavy machinery
• Occasionally: use ladder, keyboard and mouse
