Job summary

Lambert's Cable is seeking an entry-level Laborer Telecom Aerial to support a field crew in installing and maintaining fiber/telecom cables. You will handle tools and materials, move equipment, and ensure safety notices before work begins.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, legal authorization to work in the U.S., and a valid driver’s license. Previous telecom labor is a plus. Training is provided, with potential overtime and travel.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Valid state driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Certified pole climber or willing to become certified.
• Telecommunications labor experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide tools, parts, and materials to crew members as needed.
• Move or reposition bucket trucks, trailers, or equipment as directed.
• Ensure door-tagging and resident notifications for construction activities are completed before starting work each day.
• Stock, clean, and maintain company vehicles and equipment.
• Perform hand digging with shovels and mechanical tools.
• Direct/flag traffic flow per local DOT guidelines.
• Work overtime, travel, and be on-call/after-hours as needed.
• Work in all weather conditions.
• Other duties as assigned.

What you’ll do

• Provide tools, parts, and materials to crew members as needed
• Reposition or move bucket trucks, trailers, or equipment as directed
• Ensure that door-tagging and resident notifications for construction activities are completed before starting work each day
• Stock, clean, and maintain all company vehicles and equipment
• Perform hand digging using shovels and mechanical tools
• Direct/flag traffic flow in line with local DOT guidelines
• Work overtime, travel, and perform on-call/afterhours responsibilities as needed

What you’ll need

• To be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
• Valid state driver's license (cannot be Provisional), including an acceptable driving record
• Certified pole climber or be willing to become certified
• Previous labor experience in telecommunications is a plus

Physical abilities & exposures

• Routinely: work with arms above shoulder level at heights, in confined spaces and in remote locations, climb stairs, bend, stoop, stand, walk and lift up to 55 pounds, operate vehicle & heavy machinery
• Occasionally: use ladder, keyboard and mouse
