Job summary

Lambert's Cable Splicing Co. is hiring a Laborer Telecom Aerial to support an Aerial Telecom Crew with fiber/telecom cable installation and maintenance. You will provide tools, parts, and materials to the crew and help move equipment as directed, ensuring safety and compliance with DOT guidelines.

The role requires readiness to work in all weather, some overtime, travel, and after-hours duties as needed. A valid driver’s license and willingness to become a certified pole climber are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company.
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience.
• Valid state driver’s license (not Provisional) with acceptable driving record.
• Certified pole climber or willing to become certified.
• Previous labor experience in telecommunications is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide tools, parts, and materials to crew members as needed.
• Reposition or move bucket trucks, trailers, or equipment as directed.
• Ensure door-tagging and resident notifications for construction activities are completed before starting work each day.
• Stock, clean, and maintain all company vehicles and equipment.
• Perform hand digging using shovels and mechanical tools.
• Direct/flag traffic flow in line with local DOT guidelines.
• Work overtime, travel, and perform on-call/afterhours responsibilities as needed.
• Perform work in all weather conditions.
• Other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Do

What You’ll Need

Physical Abilities & Exposures

• Routinely: work with arms above shoulder level at heights, in confined spaces and in remote locations, climb stairs, bend, stoop, stand, walk and lift up to 55 pounds, operate vehicle & heavy machinery


• Occasionally: use ladder, keyboard and mouse
