Job summary

Lambert's Cable in Catlett, VA is hiring an entry-level Laborer Aerial to support an Aerial Telecom Crew with installation and maintenance of fiber and telecom cables.

You will provide tools and materials, assist with moving equipment, ensure door-tagging and notifications, and perform digging and traffic control as needed. A valid driver's license and willingness to certify as a pole climber are required. We value safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• To be 18 years of age or older.
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company.
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience.
• Valid state driver's license (cannot be Provisional), including an acceptable driving record.
• Certified pole climber or be willing to become certified.
• Previous labor experience in telecommunications is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide tools, parts, and materials to crew members as needed.
• Reposition or move bucket trucks, trailers, or equipment as directed.
• Ensure that door-tagging and resident notifications for construction activities are completed before starting work each day.
• Stock, clean, and maintain all company vehicles and equipment.
• Perform hand digging using shovels and mechanical tools.
• Direct/flag traffic flow in line with local DOT guidelines.
• Work overtime, travel, and perform on-call/afterhours responsibilities as needed.
• Perform work in all weather conditions.
• Other duties as assigned.
