Job Details

The General Laborer is responsible for operating industrial power equipment as needed to complete assigned tasks. This person is responsible for maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction, providing high quality service levels, adhering to company policies, and assisting to provide a safe working environment. This person must be energetic, enthusiastic, and possess great interpersonal skills to work with a diverse group of people and maintain a strong commitment to customer service.

Job Responsibilities

• Safely access rooftops and confined areas to clean and replace HVAC filters according to maintenance schedules.
• Load, unload, and transport tools, filters, and materials to various site locations.
• Inspect filters, coils, and surrounding components for visible damage or obstructions and report findings to supervisor.
• Work closely with the site lead to complete tasks efficiently, safely, and in compliance with service standards.
• Use appropriate tools and cleaning equipment to ensure HVAC units remain in optimal condition.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, including daily timesheets, service logs, and inventory usage.
• Clean and organize tools, equipment, and workspaces at the end of each shift.
• Report equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.
• Follow all OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and site-specific protocols.
• Perform additional maintenance or labor duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• Skills and Abilities
• Must be 18 years or older with reliable transportation.
• Ability to work at heights, on ladders, rooftops, and in confined spaces.
• Comfortable working outdoors and in varying environmental conditions.
• Basic understanding of HVAC systems and maintenance procedures (preferred).
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions with attention to detail.
• Safety-conscious with strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Education and Experience
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous labor, maintenance, or HVAC-related experience preferred.
• Some computer skills or digital form usage a plus.
• Physical Requirements
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and twist for long periods.
• Able to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Must be comfortable climbing ladders and working at elevated heights.
• Able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and occasional overtime.
• Tolerance for working in dusty, hot, or confined environments.
